The representation of all research assistants at emergenCITY has two new faces: emergenCITY lab engineer Julian Euler and PhD candidate Christoph Löser are jointly taking over the representation effective immediately. The previous representative, Julian Zobel, has finished his PhD and is leaving emergenCITY.

From now on, Christoph Löser will participate in the regular meetings of the emergenCITY Board of Directors, where he will represent the interests of all research assistants. Julian Euler is the primary contact for organizing the Barcamp, a get-together held several times a year for emergenCITY researchers to engage in joint, interdisciplinary exchange about their respective projects.

About Christoph Löser

Christoph Löser received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from the Technical University of Darmstadt (TU Darmstadt), majoring in Sensors, Actuators and Electronics (SAE). During his studies, he specialized in the field of data science with a focus on statistically robust methods, high-dimensional data and biomedical applications.

Since March 2025, he has been working as a PhD student at the Robust Data Science Group and the Institute for Artificial Intelligent Systems in Medicine. As part of his work, he is involved in the Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) program of the LOEWE center emergenCITY.

About Julian Euler

Julian Euler studied Information Systems Engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt. He is currently lab engineer at the emergenCITY office and research associate at the Digital Resilience Xchange (DiReX) Application and Transfer Center. He has a key role in the development and technical implementation of the Heinerboxes.
