This year’s emergenCITY Week took place from June 10 to 14, 2024. Once again, the event provided a valuable platform for external and internal exchange between the diverse disciplines that come together in emergenCITY. Scientists and emergenCITY employees gathered for lectures, workshops, and award ceremonies.
On Monday, the program kicked off with a internal workshop for entrepreneurs led by Carolin Bock and Syrene Adala. Entitled “Where to Play,” the workshop focused on how to identify and exploit the most promising market opportunities for start-up ideas.
On Tuesday, presentations on the research areas of emergenCITY followed, initially from the program areas of Communication, as well as City and Society. On Wednesday, the presentation continued with contributions from the areas of Cyber-Physical Systems and Information.
On Thursday, the Open eHub Day marked the official opening of the real-live lab eHub. The program included presentations of the emergenCITY missions Aerial Crisis Network and the Smart Digital Situation Control Center as well as the serious game Krisiopolis. Timon Gremmels, Hessian Minister for Science and Research, Art and Culture, visited for the opening ceremony and a round tour.
