Mengguang Li is a doctoral candidate at the Self-Organizing Systems Lab since the middle of 2021. From 2018 to 2021, he worked as a development engineer at Honda R&D Europe (Deutschland) GmbH, contributing to several projects, including the Multi-Miimo robotic lawnmower. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he has contributed to the Distr@l-BlueSwarm, HOLM-BioDroneSwarm and HOLM-AuRa projects. His research topic focuses on reconfigurable modular robotic systems, utilizing homogeneous modules to form customizable assemblies, to perform aerial manipulation.

Research Interests
His research centers on the development of a modular, reconfigurable aerial manipulation system. By using standard quadrotors as interchangeable base modules, the system can be quickly assembled into various configurations tailored to specific missions. This flexibility enhances resilience and ease of deployment, making it particularly relevant in high-risk or emergency scenarios where traditional ground-based solutions may fall short.
