Kevin Logan is a research associate and doctoral candidate under Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Pelz at the Chair of Fluid Systems in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at TU Darmstadt. Since 2020, he has worked in both the LOEWE centre emergenCITY and the DFG-funded NFDI consortium NFDI4ING. In the former, he has served as lead of an interdisciplinary research mission. He has also contributed to a project on multi-agent systems for distributed control of fluid systems, funded by the German industrial association VDMA e.V. He is co-founder and managing editor of the Diamond Open Access journal “ing.grid – FAIR Data Management in Engineering Sciences”. His teaching duties have included, among others, conceptualising, developing and conducting a novel course in Python programming and research data management for undergraduate students of mechanical engineering. His research focuses on experimental validation of decentral and adaptive design and operation for resilience of water distribution systems.
